Brown Sugar is a project I took on to support a good friend of mine, Bernard Collins, who is a talented chef and aspiring restaurant owner. He gave me a concept for a potential restaurant and a few food items he’d like to have featured. From there, I began to build the brand by creating a back story, logo, color palette, and a few deliverables. The tone of the restaurant was inspired by Twin Cities restaurants including Red Cow, Revival, Blue Door Pub and more. The color palette was inspired by Jacob Lawerence, one of my all time favorite painters. His artwork is featured on the introductory page for the restaurant along with the back story of Brown Sugar.
